Elle King Says She Got a Concussion When She Fell Down the Stairs: “Everything is Fine”
Elle King shared on her Instagram story on Thursday that she had recently fallen down stairs and received a concussion.
“I just wanted to give you a quick update and apologize to my supporters in Tampa, Detroit, and Seattle. “I feel your disappointment in having to cancel my radio shows this week,” she posted on Instagram in response to her canceled shows.
“No one wants to miss a show, especially me. I live for the stage.
“I slipped down the steps preparing a bottle in the middle of the night, banged my a— out, resulting in a concussion,” continued King, who is expecting son Lucky Levi Tooker with fiancé Dan Tooker in September 2021.
“I attempted to push through and played three gigs, but the travel, lights, and everything only aggravated things,” she explained.

The actress and comedian Rob Schneider’s daughter praised the artists who stepped in and took over her concerts, as well as her fans, for their “understanding and continuous support.”
“I wish you all happy and healthy Christmas, and I can’t wait to get back out there next year and sing with you soon,” she wrote at the end of her message.
The country music singer was set to co-host “New Year’s Live: Nashville Big Bash” with Jimmie Allen. According to, King will continue to co-host the event.

Last month, King spoke about how the late Loretta Lynn influenced her career in country music.
“Well, Loretta Lynn was a very outspoken woman at a period when women were not talking or doing or singing songs as she did,” she explained. “I feel like that paved the path for women like myself.
“She has written the finest songs in the world, and she has performed the greatest songs in the world.”
