UPDATE: All Lanes Reopen After 4-Vehicle Accident On I-79

A four-car crash on I-79 South has sent one person to the hospital.

It occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, just beyond the southbound entry ramp to Mink Shoals.

Traffic is piling up since the fast lane has been closed.

One individual was brought to the hospital, according to emergency workers.

The incident was reported about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Harrison County 911 Communications Center.

According to comm center authorities, when first responders arrived, they discovered a four-vehicle accident involving an RV at mile marker 119 on I-79 southbound.

According to the comm center, two lanes have been closed due to the severity of the incident while first responders work on the site, and one person has been taken for treatment.

The Bridgeport and Clarksburg fire departments, as well as the Clarksburg Police Department and Harrison County EMS, all responded to the incident.
