Two People Were Killed in A Violent Semi-Truck Crash Near The Truman Sports Complex


Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash involved a semi-truck that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

Near the Truman Sports Complex, a crash was reported shortly after 4 p.m. on the westbound Interstate 70 off ramp and Interstate 435 on ramp.

According to police, the semi’s driver was travelling westbound when he took the exit for I-435 southward. The driver lost control as the vehicle approached a sweeping right curve, and the semi slid off the left side of the road and overturned.


The vehicle was soon completely consumed by fire.

The vehicle’s driver and a passenger both died at the site.

According to police, the ramp is closed due to emergency vehicles, and portions of I-435 southbound and I-70 eastbound are also closed.

While crews unload the goods and investigate the crash, the ramp is expected to be closed for several hours.

The reason of the accident and fire is still being investigated.

A Haz Mat squad from the Kansas City Fire Department is still on the scene. According to investigators, the semi’s trailer was stocked with epoxy containers that were not burned in the fire.

There were no other automobiles involved in the accident.
