Trader Joe’s will open its doors at the iconic Bridgemarket site at East 59th Street and First Avenue under the Queensboro Bridge on December 2 at 8:00 a.m.

Eventually, it will be Manhattan’s ninth Trader Joe’s, New York City’s twelfth, and the Upper East Side’s first.

The new store is around 20,000 square feet and is housed in the historic Bridgemarket structure, which was constructed in 1908. New paintings will pay respect to other prominent places in the area, including the United Kingdom, in the space built by Spanish engineer and builder Rafael Guastavino. The United Nations Headquarters, Roosevelt Island, and much more.
