Al Roker had a successful family portrait made for Christmas. In the past month or two, the meteorologist on Today Show has had some serious health problems, but he was able to get out of the hospital in time for the holiday. He was very happy to be back with his family at home.
Roker wrote on Instagram on Sunday afternoon, “Merry Christmas from our family to yours.” His post showed a picture of him and his family at the dinner table wearing matching pyjamas. It also showed a picture of their dog wearing the same pattern.
Even though they were in the middle of a big Christmas lunch, they were casually dressed. Fans and commentators wished Roker well and were happy that he could come back home for the event.
Roker, who is 68 years old, has been in and out of the hospital in the past few weeks because of blood clots and other problems. He couldn’t cover the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or the lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center because of these symptoms, but they didn’t get in the way of his family’s Christmas dinner.
Roker was sitting with his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their three children, Courtney, 35, Leila, 24, and Nick, 20. Wesley Laga, who is married to Courtney, also came with them. Everyone wore the same green pyjamas with Peanuts characters on them, even the dog.

Roker gushed about his family on The Today Show last week. He said that having them all together is the best part of the holidays. He was glad that they could all get together without any drama or fighting, which is something that other families haven’t had in recent years.
He told me: “My favourite family tradition is that we don’t fight with each other. That’s wonderful. If that happens, can you get your grown children and their partners together and make sure everything is okay? Win-win.”
Roker also said that Christmas is much easier for him now that his kids are grown up. He told me: “Things are different now that my kids are grown. It gets a lot easier to shop for the holidays.
They aren’t looking for the newest thing or anything.” Roker said he is glad he doesn’t have to get out of bed anymore “at 6 a.m. because the little ones are up,” but now they say, “Oh, we’ll get up around 9 a.m.” And that is great.”
