The Los Angeles County Coroner says that after the first autopsy, the cause of Lisa Marie Presley’s death has not yet been determined. “Presley was checked out on January 14 and the cause of death was put off.

Deferred means that the cause of death has not been found after an autopsy, and the medical examiner wants to do more research, such as more studies, to find out what happened.

Sarah Ardalani, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, told CNN, “Once the tests and studies are done, the doctor looks at the case again and decides what caused the death.”

Last week, the singer-songwriter died in the hospital after what seemed to be a heart attack. She had turned 54. A statement on Graceland’s website says that a public memorial service for Elvis Presley will be held at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 22.

A notice on the site says, “Instead of flowers, the family asks that anyone who wants to send something do so to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation.”

The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation works to help kids in the Memphis area through the arts, education, and charitable work. Elvis bought the house in 1957 when he was 22 years old.

In 1977, he had a heart attack and died in the mansion. He is buried on the grounds of Graceland, which is now a museum and a popular place for tourists to visit. Lisa Marie Presley will be buried next to her son Benjamin Keough, who killed himself in 2020 when he was 27 years old.

Graceland was held in trust for Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie Presley until she turned 25.

According to the Graceland website, Lisa Marie Presley became more involved with The Elvis Presley Trust and its business entity, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE). She was the owner and Chairman of the Board of EPE until February 2005, when she sold a major stake in the company.

Grief expert David Kessler posted a picture of himself and Elvis Presley on his verified Instagram account over the weekend. He wrote that Presley had asked him to go to Memphis with her to celebrate her late father’s 88th birthday a few days before she died.

“She had many invitations for the weekend, but only three were important to her: going to her father’s birthday party and spending time at her son’s and father’s graves after the tours left Graceland,” Kessler wrote.

He wrote that Presley helped other people deal with their grief by doing things like hosting grief groups for other parents who had lost a child at her home with him.

Kessler said that their trip to Graceland was “so much fun” and that Elvis was in a good mood. He also said that Graceland was her happy place and that employees who knew her said she looked so much better.

“She seemed happier and more at ease, and she loved the Elvis movie.”

We sat at the graves of her father and son on Saturday night,” he wrote. “We talked about how sad her childhood was and how sad it was when her son died. She showed me where she was going to be buried. I said, “In a long time,” and she said, “I have so much to do.”

Her three daughters live on after her: actress Riley Keough and twins Finley and Harper Lockwood. People were told by a representative of Graceland that they will get the estate.
