College Career

  • In the years after high school, Curry chose to go to Liberty University. In his first year at Liberty, he was the best freshman player in the country when it came to points per game. He averaged 20.2 points per game.
  • For a freshman in the Big South Conference, Curry set a new record for the most points in a season. During his time at Liberty, he wore the number 30 jersey. This is the same number that his father and older brother wore during their careers, too.
  • After the 2008–09 season, Curry changed schools. He went from Liberty University to Duke. As a rule, Curry had to sit out the 2009–10 basketball season because of how he moved. At Duke, he also wore the number 30 from his family.
  • After Kyrie Irving broke his toe, Curry was called up to the team as a redshirt sophomore. Curry led the team with 17 points and made 57 percent of his shots in a game against Miami (Ohio). A season-high 22 points were scored by him on February 9, 2011.
  • Before Christmas 2012, he had the best game of his life against Santa Clara. He scored 31 points. Curry was named to the All-ACC first team at the end of his senior year. He was also named a second-team All-American by Sporting News.

Professional Career

  1. Curry didn’t get picked in the 2013 NBA draught. The Golden State Warriors signed him up on August 23, 2013. He didn’t get paid. When Golden State released him on October 25, 2013, he had already played in six preseason games.
  2. November 1, 2013, was a big day for Curry. He was signed by the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League as an affiliate player. The first time he played in the D-League, Curry scored 36 points on 12-of-19 shooting. He also had 6 assists and 3 rebounds.
