New York Man Stabbed to Death on Subway Train in ‘Unprovoked’ Attack: Police


The New York Police Department is looking for a suspect who reportedly stabbed a 32-year-old man to death on a subway train early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the 32-year-old was stabbed in the neck in a “unprovoked” incident as the northbound 2 train approached the 34th Street-Penn Station stop soon after midnight.

The man was transported to a neighboring hospital and pronounced dead.

According to FOX 5 New York, crime on the subway has increased in recent months, with 94 grand larcenies reported in September, compared to 64 in August and 55 in July. In September, there was also an increase in Subway robberies.

After the incident, the suspect, who is now sought for homicide, escaped the metro station. He is described as a dark-skinned man wearing a white baseball cap, a black face mask, a grey jacket with an orange and black checkered hood, and black jeans.
