If Unvaccinated Get Sick It’s ‘Their Own Darn Fault’ Says Dem Governor Declaring Covid-19 Emergency ‘Over’

Govt. of Colorado Jared Polis, a Democrat, announced in a recent interview that the COVID-19 disaster is “over” and that he will not enact another state – wide mask obligation in response to the dissemination of the omicron variant, describing that if people aren’t immunised at this point, it will be their “own darn fault” if they get sick.

“Everyone had better than enough chance to be vaccinated,” Polis said on Friday, according to Colorado Public Radio. “Hopefully, it happened at your pharmacy, grocery store, a bus near you, or at a major event. However, if you haven’t been vaccinated, it’s always your own god damn mistake.”

“Those who get sick are virtually completely to blame,” he said.

To put that into perspective, less than 200 (or 16 percent) of the approximately 1,400 persons hospitalized get vaccinated. And many of them are elderly or suffer from other medical ailments. Eighty-four percent of the individuals in our hospitals are unvaccinated, despite the fact that they had every opportunity to be vaccinated.

And at this point, I believe it’s almost as if they made a conscious decision not to get vaccinated “He said. “I continue to urge everybody who hasn’t been immunized to be vaccinated. And for those who are, remember to receive a booster shot every six months. The evidence indicates that it is significant, and it is highly probable that it is much more so with this omicron form.

Polis stated that he favored local governments establishing their own mandates based on their own requirements, but that the state should remain out of it.

“There are folks who believe you and I are part of some great conspiracy, Ryan,” he told Ryan Warner of “Colorado Matters.” “Some feel there is no COVID; others believe the vaccination is ineffective; and yet others believe the vaccine has serious negative effects. The truth is that they exist in their own bubble, which is extremely difficult to penetrate.”

The governor’s remarks follow the implementation of new restrictions in numerous Denver metro area counties, including a “vax or mask” law that forces companies to either demand masks indoors or require consumers to submit proof of vaccination.
