After Labelling Justin Bieber ‘foolish,’ Judge Judy Says She’s ‘happy’ to See Him Succeed

Judge Judy may not have been Justin Bieber’s biggest fan in the past, but she is proud of the pop star for making a positive change in his life. After previously criticising former neighbour Bieber for his reckless behaviour, it appears the TV legend is a big (ahem) Belieber in giving people a second chance.

Following the arrest of the wild child for drunk driving in 2014, Judy (nee Sheindlin) threw down her gavel in the court of public opinion. ‘Being a celebrity is a blessing. You could either treat it reverently or make a fool of yourself, and he’s doing a very good job of the latter,’ she said at the time.

‘I believe it is sad. And no one will remember him as a mediocre singer. But they’ll remember a young kid who had the chance to have it all and blew it by acting like a fool.’ Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Judy, 80, claimed Bieber was afraid of her when they both lived at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills.

‘He is terrified of me. ‘There was a time before he grew up when he was foolish and doing foolish things,’ she told Access Hollywood, before alleging that he paid staff to track her movements.

‘I must have mentioned it, and then I realised he was paying the front door people to let them know when I was there, coming and going, so he wouldn’t run into me.’

However, gay icon Judy has since changed her mind after reflecting on 28-year-old Bieber’s personal growth – and no, she doesn’t think it’s nonsense! ‘I have not [spoken to him] but I’ve seen him, and he looks wonderful. I’m happy because he appears to be happy. ‘I’m overjoyed for him,’ she exclaimed.

When asked if she played a role in getting him on the straight and narrow, Judy responded, ‘No, no, he did that all by himself!’ Canadian Bieber, who once settled a lawsuit for egging an ex-house, neighbor’s attributed his change of heart to his faith in God.

After being diagnosed with Ramsey Hunt syndrome, a rare disorder that causes facial paralysis, the chart-topper postponed his world tour in October.

Things appear to be looking up for Bieber, who celebrated the New Year by hitting the slopes with his model wife, Hailey – don’t go too far, Biebs!
