According to an NBA Executive, Lebron James Could Be Traded to the Golden State Warriors

The NBA season 2022-23 has been a surprise. After winning the championship last year, people had high hopes for the Golden State Warriors. But they haven’t lived up to those hopes.

The Warriors are in eighth place right now, with a record of 20-21. Even though the Los Angeles Lakers have stars like Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook on their team, they are struggling in the West. The Lakers are ranked 12th with a record of 19-22.

A few weeks ago, an NBA executive talked to Heavy Sports’ Sean Deveney about a possible trade between the Lakers and the Warriors.

The unnamed executive said that there have been talks about trading Jordan Poole for other players, including LeBron James of the Lakers. The manager explained how the trade could be made.

“If there is a bidding war going on at some point, the Warriors are in a great position because they can give you the young guys – [James] Wiseman or [Jonathan] Kuminga or [Moses] Moody, or [Pat] Baldwin, whoever the Lakers want.

But you have to add either Poole or [Andrew] Wiggins, and that’s not easy. But if they want to win now, you can give up Poole if you are getting back LeBron, right? If they keep Draymond [Green] and come back with Steph [Curry], Klay Thompson, Draymond and LeBron, that would be a fun, fun team to watch.”

Even though James has said many times that he will stay with the Lakers, the Warriors are the most likely team to get him. Sam Quinn of CBS Sports recently put together a list of places where James could be traded to.

It was said that the Warriors would be a good place for the veteran player to land. “Hey, speaking of quotes that start rumours, James wasn’t even trying to be subtle when he said in April that he’d most like to play with Stephen Curry in today’s league,” Quinn wrote.

It’s still not clear if the Lakers and Warriors will trade LeBron James and Jordan Poole in the future.
