H.E.R. is feeling every bit as beautiful as she is as she steps into her historic role as Belle. ET’s Denny Directo talked to the GRAMMY-winning singer at the premiere of the live-action/animated special Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration: A Live-Action/Animated Celebration on Tuesday.

She talked about how she feels more confident since playing Belle. “I think every little girl wants to be that, and I’m a huge, huge Disney fan and Disney princess fan, so the fact that it’s happening is like, ‘Wow.’ I’m pinching myself,'” H.E.R. said.

Josh Groban, who plays the Beast, Martin Short, who plays Lumière, and Shania Twain, who plays Mrs. Potts, will all be in the special with the 25-year-old. Rita Moreno will also be the narrator. Joshua Henry will play Gaston, David Alan Grier will play Cogsworth, Rizwan Manji will play LeFou, Jon Jon Briones will play Maurice, and Leo Abelo Perry will play Chip.

The “My Own” singer couldn’t decide which member of the “amazing” group of stars she likes the most. She said, “Oh my goodness, all of them!” “Shania Twain, because I love her, but I also like watching David Alan Grier and Martin Short interact, and Josh Groban, because he is so sweet and kind. So, it’s a wonderful, wonderful group.”

This is the first time an Afro-Filipina woman will play the famous character on screen, which is a big deal for the singer. It’s a moment that gives her a new sense of self-assurance.

“I walk differently now because of what happened to me. I don’t know what it is, but I feel different about myself “The name of H.E.R. is now known. “And I like it a lot. It’s great to be a princess from Disney.” She also said, “It’s one of the most fun things I’ve ever done.”

The singer was also very busy, and she told ET that she was nervous before going onstage. H.E.R. said, “It wasn’t scary, but it was busy, and I was a little nervous, but the excitement kind of made the nervousness go away.”

H.E.R., whose real name is Gabriela Wilson, said that she is starting a new chapter by going by her real name instead of her stage name. “So many other things start with it.

I’ve kept it about the music for so long, but now it’s time for people to learn about the person behind the music and see all the other things I like, like being a Disney princess “She said more.

The singer added, “And Color Purple is coming.” “So, I’m looking forward to a lot of projects, whether I’m making them or acting in them. We’re going to have a great time.”
