New York Giants Officially Sign Geno Smith, Retain Mark Herzlich

According to multiple sources, the New York Giants have officially signed quarterback Geno Smith to a one-year, $2 million deal.

Smith, as many know, played his first four seasons with the New York Jets, throwing for more interceptions (36) than touchdowns (28).

He’s currently recovering from an ACL injury that occurred in Week 7 of last season.

In other news, the Giants have also re-signed linebacker/special teamer Mark Herzlich, who will continue his NFL career with the Giants.

Herzlich was signed as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2011 season, making 173 career tackles in six seasons with Big Blue.
