According to the New York Daily News, the New York Giants met with Alabama tight end O.J. Howard at the NFL Combine this week.
Howard is being hyped as the draft’s best tight end, measuring in at 6-foot-6 and 251 pounds.
When it comes to taking a tight end in the first-round, Howard may be the only guy the Giants consider.
A recent report from ESPN’s Jordan Raanan indicated that the organization is not sold on Miami’s David Njoku because of his label as a “project”.
Meaning, it could be Howard or bust if you’re expecting the team to take a tight end high in the draft.
The Giants recently re-signed Will Tye and Matt LaCosse to add depth to their roster, but it’s still a position worth upgrading.
New York tallied just three touchdowns from their tight ends last season.
