According to Clay Travis of OutkickTheCoverage.com, Peyton Manning, Archie Manning, and Eli Manning are interested in owning an NFL team one day.

Travis announced this last week on his daily Periscope show "Outkick The Show."

How did the subject come about?

Well, he was explaining why the Haslam family, a huge University of Tennessee football booster and current owner(s) of the Cleveland Browns, had leverage over Peyton in Tennessee's search for a new head coach/AD.

Travis added that the Haslam family promised Peyton and the rest of his family that he would help get them an NFL franchise if he was allowed control over the Tennessee head coach/AD hire.

Through playing contracts alone, Peyton and Eli have made hundreds of millions of dollars, and that also doesn't take into account endorsement deals and Peyton's heavy involvement in Papa John's pizza (and other business ventures).

Could this have something to do with John Mara's disdain for the way Eli's benching was treated? Is Mara potentially interested in selling the Manning family his half of the team somewhere down the road?

Holy shit, that would that be an interesting storyline.
